VIRTUAL TOURNAMENT FISHING
-Not using a VTF approved measuring device may result in penalties or disqualifications
-There are several types of acceptable measuring devices which all have similar characteristics:
#1: They all have a "fence" to rest the fish's mouth on
#2: They all have clear and contrasting 1/4" increments
TOURNAMENT BOARDS WITH 1/4" INCREMENTS AND CLEARLY CONTRASTING INCREMENTS: ACCEPTABLE
*NOTE: If you use a tournament board without 1" increments, you will only receive credit for the last increment the fish's tail touches or passes
HAWG TROUGHS & BUMP BOARDS: ACCEPTABLE
*NOTE: If you use a hawg trough that has uncolored 1/4" increments and numbers, we recommend outlining the increments with permanent marker ink to increase visibility to the the tournament director and avoid penalties. If the tournament director cannot see 1/4" increments on your hawg trough, you will only get credit for the last full inch increment the fish touches or passes.
MEASURING TAPES AND YARD STICKS: UNACCEPTABLE
*NOTE: Measuring tapes and yard sticks have increments that are difficult to see in a photograph and the measuring devices do not have a "fence" to brace the fish's mouth when measuring. These measuring devices are unacceptable and may incur penalties and disqualifications if used.
HOMEMADE OR MANIPULATED MEASURING DEVICES: UNACCEPTABLE
*NOTE: Any measuring device that appears homemade or manipulated is unacceptable and will result in disqualification if utilized
